ABOUT KIM THORN PHOTOGRAPHY

I love my work and all the variation it brings.  From creating eye-catching commercial images, happy smiley family and child portraits, slick PR and corporate work through to weddings. All require their own specific photographic and people skills which can only be perfected over time with a vast array of experience, which cannot be learnt just from books and courses but through many years of encountering all sorts of photography challenges. I like to think I am very easy to work with and enjoy an informal, friendly approach with each and every client.

I always put the same amount of enthusiasm and dedication into each and every job – taking pride in the results I achieve for all my clients, which is of the utmost of importance to me being that I consider myself a creative person who finds reward in the results and customer satisfaction, rather than hard-nosed sales orientated marketing, which is in my opinion far too prevalent today amongst the high street studios – hence why I do not drive a Porsche, despite winning several awards.

I work from my cozy log-cabin studio in Hemel Hempstead, which is very close to the M25 & M1, but I can travel anywhere, be it your company, home or on location.

I am Licentiate qualified with the Royal Photographic Society, The British Institute of Professional Photographers and also with the Master Photographers Association and have distinctions in my City & Guilds qualifications.  I am also an overseas assigned photographer for an international photo agency and for your peace of mind I am CRB certified and hold a CSCS Constructions Skills Permit Card, so that I can work on building sites across the UK as well as being fully insured.
